On the market since 1991, Farmaceutica REMEDIA S.A. strengthened its position through the merge with the major shareholder, V. TARUS RoAgencies SRL in 2006.
Following to the legal regulations regarding the separation of wholesale pharmaceutical activities from the retail ones, Farmaceutica REMEDIA S.A. decided to keep the retail activities and to transfer during 2015 the wholesale activities together with the accompanying logistics and other ancillary services to Farmaceutica REMEDIA Distribution & Logistics SRL – its 100% owned legal entity.
Farmaceutica REMEDIA S.A. , after the transfer of 52 pharmacies to Help Net as of 31.07.2020, currently operates 23 own pharmaceutical units in 4 counties, Hunedoara, Alba, Sibiu and Bucharest, being focused on the consolidation of the presence on the rural area, diversifying the pharmaceutical portfolio, food supplements, dermato-cosmetics and services for the patient benefit.
From 2021 the company developed online sales addressing customers on the e-shop platform by implementing its own solution, in partnership with companies specialized in e-shop. The platform offers a wide range of para-pharmaceutical products, medical devices, dietary supplements, dermato-cosmetics, including OTC, according to legal regulations.
Farmaceutica REMEDIA Distribution & Logistics SRL – specialized in pharmaceuticals wholesale activities, marketing and promotion activities in the healthcare sector, operates the sales through 3 (three) logistic centers by the following business lines:
– Distribution Division: sales to the pharmacies and other key accounts.
– Hospital Division: sales to the public and private hospitals and clinics.
In April 2022 Farmaceutica REMEDIA SA purchased a 50% participation in the share capital of PHARMA EXPERTSPEDITION SRL in order to develop and strengthen the distribution and logistics activity.
Farmaceutica REMEDIA S.A. is oriented to the business development by adapting permanently the operating models in line with the partners and clients continuous changing expectations, based also on the pharma market orientation to digitalization and IT development.
The business model is oriented towards the constant diversification of products and services offered, including logistics services, marketing and medical promotion, registrations of pharmaceutical products.
As a digital solution for automation and optimization of pharmaceutical processes, REMEDIA, in partnership with BD Rowa™, launched in October 2021 the first Smart robot installed at REMEDIA Metalurgiei 78 pharmacy, Bucharest and has installed10 robotic systems in pharmacies in Romania and participated in the installation of 8 (eight) automated systems in pharmacies in Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Italy. The company will continue the implementation of robots in pharmacies, hospitals and pharmaceutical warehouses in Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova
